“My California: Views from the Golden State”
This is the last chance to see the exhibition “My California: Views from the Golden State” which runs through June 5th at the National Steinbeck Center Museum.  Artists were asked to present a visual concept of their cultural heritage as they interpreted their California experience and what it means to become a part of the California landscape.  The exhibition was juried by Nathan Oliveira, renowned Painter and Printmaker. Fourty images were selected from close to six hundred entries. The exhibition is included with regular paid admission to the Museum, which is $10.95 for adults, with discounts for seniors, students, and children.   The museum is open daily from 10 – 5, For more information call (831) 775 – 4721. 
 
Major funding for the exhibition has been provided by the James Irvine Foundation. 
the Cultural Council for Monterey County through funding from the Board of Supervisors and the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.

“We held a similar contest last year on eBay and received world-wide attention,” says Robert Garcia, publisher. “We think this is a great way to re-introduce ourselves to the market and give every aspiring model the opportunity of a lifetime.” Garcia goes on to say that unlike most conventional magazines, Bonita Magazine doesn’t limit the type of women it features. “Bonita Magazine features real women, with real curves, in provocative, yet tasteful poses. Whether she’s large or small…tall or short...young or old…there is beauty in every woman, and we will help bring that beauty to our audience.” 
 
Once the Bonita Magazine Cover Girl Auction has concluded, the publisher will contact the winner to make all of the necessary arrangements, including a professional photo shoot. Models can be of any nationality and from anywhere around the world, but must be over 18 years of age to be featured.
